France pushes to exclude UK from EU's Made in Europe law

France pressed EU industry ministers in Brussels on 24 September to limit 'Made in Europe' to the EU27, excluding Britain. Industry minister Sébastien Martin said "European taxpayers' money should support European workers and European factories." The proposed law would favour European goods to counter Chinese subsidies and remains under negotiation.
