Democrats Lead Republicans 53%-41% on 2026 Congressional Ballot, Poll Finds

Registered voters favored a Democratic House and Senate candidate over a Republican by 53% to 41% in the Sept. 14-15 NPR/PBS News/Marist poll, released Sept. 23. The poll said 45% viewed their vote as against President Trump. The survey of 1,280 respondents had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8 points via live caller, text and online.
