Democrats Lead 53%-41% on 2026 Congressional Ballot in New Poll

Registered voters backed Democrats over Republicans for House and Senate, 53% to 41%, in a Sept. 14-15 NPR/PBS News/Marist poll released Sept. 23. The poll said 45% saw their vote as against President Trump. It surveyed 1,280 respondents by live phone call, text and online, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8 points, so results could shift.
