New Zealand First backs return to Reserve Bank dual mandate

New Zealand First has signalled it wants to restore the Reserve Bank's dual mandate, requiring support for maximum sustainable employment alongside price stability. The party voted for the December 2023 law that returned the bank to a single inflation mandate. Labour has also committed to bringing back the dual mandate.
