Peters says recognition of Palestinian statehood inevitable

Foreign Minister Winston Peters says New Zealand's recognition of Palestinian statehood is inevitable, a question of "when, not if". He made the comments in his final speech as minister in this Government on 21 September 2026, according to RNZ. The Beehive published the speech as "There's always a way to talk".
