Man arrested after pepper-spraying moviegoer over phone use in Burbank

Burbank police arrested Matthew Ware, 34, on 15 September for allegedly pepper-spraying a patron at AMC Burbank 16 who was using a cellphone. Ware was charged with misdemeanor battery. Two nearby moviegoers were also irritated; all three were treated at hospital. Left to patrons, phone disputes can quickly become criminal matters.
