
Australia Weighs Social Media Algorithm Opt-Out After 23-Minute Misogyny Finding
Australia is considering letting users opt out of social media algorithmic feeds as part of its second action plan against family and domestic violence. Social Services Minister Tanya Plibersek cited data showing a new account set up as a young boy in Australia takes an average of 23 minutes to be fed misogynistic, violent content. The government is working with advocacy group Teach Us Consent on the design.
