Albanese kills off GST reform before Productivity Commission finishes its work

The Productivity Commission found the 2018 GST deal achieved none of its objectives and funnelled $23bn extra to WA, the nation's richest state. Every other state and territory backed reversing it. Albanese ruled out any change while he is PM — before the final report is drafted. Commissioner Angela Jackson called that "disappointing at this point in the process."
