Former Thai MP Confesses to Killing Local Official on YouTube Livestream

Former Thai lawmaker Chalong Reawraeng phoned into a YouTube livestream on August 10, 2026, telling host Anchalee Paireerak he had shot Thongchai Yenprasert, president of Nonthaburi's Provincial Administrative Organisation — a local government body. Thongchai, a retired police colonel, died in hospital. Chalong later claimed self-defense at a police-station press conference, saying the victim drew a gun first.
