ACT wants Student Services Fee made voluntary

ACT's tertiary education spokesperson Parmjeet Parmar says the party will campaign on making the compulsory Student Services Fee voluntary. Universities would offer services as a menu — students pay only for what they use. ACT estimates students could save up to $4,000 on their student loan over a full degree. The fee currently funds orientation, clubs, media, health and sports services.
