Iran's New Conditions for Reopening the Strait of Hormuz

Iran's IRGC says the Strait of Hormuz stays closed until the US lifts its port blockade, ends sanctions, releases frozen assets, and pays compensation. That last demand is new — it was absent from the June 15 ceasefire memo, which collapsed within days. The US president puts the blockade's daily cost to Iran at $500 million.
