
Iran Demands Blockade Lift, Sanctions Relief, and Compensation to Reopen Strait of Hormuz
Iran's IRGC said the Strait of Hormuz will stay closed until the US lifts its naval blockade on Iranian ports, ends sanctions, releases frozen assets, and provides compensation. The compensation demand is new — absent from the June 15 ceasefire memorandum, which collapsed within days. The US president says the blockade costs Iran $500 million daily.
