UAE Blames Iran's IRGC for Missile Strike on ADNOC Tanker in Strait of Hormuz

On 8 August 2026, the UAE accused Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps of firing a missile at an ADNOC-operated tanker in the Strait of Hormuz. Abu Dhabi called it piracy and demanded Tehran reopen the strait unconditionally. ADNOC reports 15 of its vessels attacked since the conflict began, leaving one crew member dead and 20 injured.
