UAE Accuses Iran's IRGC of Missile Strike on ADNOC Tanker in Strait of Hormuz

On 8 August 2026, the UAE accused Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps of firing a missile at an ADNOC-operated tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Abu Dhabi called the strike an act of piracy and demanded Tehran reopen the strait unconditionally. ADNOC says 15 of its vessels have been attacked since the conflict began, killing one crew member and injuring 20.
