Brazil charges 16 Voepass staff, including airline owner, over fatal 2024 crash

Brazilian federal police accused 16 Voepass employees, including owner Jose Luiz Felicio Filho, over the August 2024 ATR 72-500 crash in Vinhedo that killed all 62 on board. Fifteen face charges of endangering air traffic safety causing a fatal disaster — up to 12 years per count. Some also face logbook-omission charges, meaning maintenance records allegedly left incomplete.
