Israel charges settler with manslaughter in rare West Bank prosecution

Israeli prosecutors indicted settler Yinon Levi on August 6, 2026, for reckless manslaughter — a charge implying conscious disregard for human life — in the killing of Palestinian activist Awdah Hathaleen, shot during a July 2025 confrontation in Umm al-Khair.
