Tesla and SpaceX to Build $16.8B Semiconductor Fab in Texas

Tesla and SpaceX will jointly build Terafab, a semiconductor fabrication plant in Grimes County, Texas, backed by $16.8 billion in initial investment. SpaceX filings indicate total spending could reach $119 billion across multiple phases. Intel has signed on as a contributor. Musk called it "the largest and most valuable building on Earth." At least 3,000 jobs are planned.
