Raleigh Owner Accell Group Files for Insolvency After Takeover Talks Fail

Accell Group, the Dutch owner of Raleigh, Lapierre, Haibike, and Batavus, began insolvency proceedings on 6 August 2026 after takeover talks with Dutech Holdings collapsed. The self-described European e-bike market leader said it explored "every realistic option." Creditors seized control from KKR in February 2026 following its failed €1.4 billion buyout.
