Carney warns of tougher stance on U.S. if no trade deal by Aug. 19

Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada will escalate against the United States if no trade deal is reached before tariffs take effect Aug. 19. Speaking in Toronto, Carney offered no specifics, saying only Canada "has options." He ruled out using energy exports as leverage.
