Auckland City Rail Link opening date revealed by billboard

Auckland's $5.5 billion City Rail Link will open to the public on Sunday, 13 September. The date appeared on an Auckland Transport billboard on Fanshawe Street before any formal announcement. It is New Zealand's largest transport infrastructure project, under construction for a decade. Free ticketed previews of the new underground stations are scheduled across three Saturdays in August.
