Auckland's big new train tunnel to open in September

Auckland's $5.5 billion underground rail project, the City Rail Link, will open to the public on Sunday, 13 September. The date showed up on an Auckland Transport billboard on Fanshawe Street before any official announcement. It is New Zealand's biggest transport build, taking ten years. Free ticketed previews of the new underground stations will run on three Saturdays in August.
