Mitti Labs Uses Cloud-Piercing Radar to Map a Quarter of India's Rice Fields
Mitti Labs' GeoAI platform combines synthetic aperture radar (SAR) from public and commercial satellites to map 10 million hectares of Indian rice fields — about one-quarter of the national total. SAR cuts through cloud cover, letting the startup track water use and methane emissions during monsoon cycles. Backed by $12.5 million, Mitti now works with over 100,000 farmers.
