WindBorne launches WeatherMesh-6, powered by 600 autonomous balloon flights

WindBorne Systems launched WeatherMesh-6, a deep learning weather forecast model trained on data from about 600 autonomous balloons launched across 20 global sites. Each balloon gathers roughly 50 vertical atmospheric profiles over multi-week flights, compared with one per two-hour flight for a conventional radiosonde. The U.S. National Weather Service already buys WindBorne's data.
