DOJ Moves to Dismiss All Major January 6 Seditious Conspiracy Cases

The Trump Justice Department secured dismissal of all major January 6 seditious conspiracy cases after an August 4 ruling vacated nine Oath Keepers convictions, including founder Stewart Rhodes's, following a July 13 ruling that erased 13 Proud Boys convictions. All defendants were already freed under Trump's clemency. Judge Amit Mehta wrote that the dismissal "diminishes the gravity of January 6."
