All Major January 6 Seditious Conspiracy Cases Now Dismissed at DOJ's Request

With the August 4 dismissal of nine Oath Keepers' convictions, including founder Stewart Rhodes's, every major January 6 seditious conspiracy case is now extinguished. A July 13 ruling vacated 13 Proud Boys convictions. The Trump Justice Department sought both dismissals. All defendants had already been freed under Trump's clemency. Judge Amit Mehta wrote that the dismissal "diminishes the gravity of January 6."
