
AI startup Volta, founded months ago, lands $10B Anthropic compute deal
Volta, founded in early 2026 and valued at $2.4 billion after raising $300 million, has secured a $10 billion, six-year compute contract with Anthropic, per Bloomberg and Reuters. Volta will supply 133 megawatts of Nvidia Vera Rubin capacity — Nvidia's next-generation AI accelerator — from a Norway data center built with crypto-mining firm Bitdeer. Anthropic has also secured compute deals with SpaceX and Amazon.
