AI cloud startup Volta, founded months ago, lands $10 billion Anthropic compute contract

Volta, founded in early 2026 and valued at $2.4 billion after raising $300 million, has secured a $10 billion, six-year compute contract with Anthropic, per Bloomberg and Reuters. Volta will supply 133 megawatts of Nvidia Vera Rubin capacity from a Norway data center developed with crypto-mining firm Bitdeer. Anthropic has also recently secured compute deals with SpaceX and Amazon.
