Pegasus fast-track housing bid faces 16,000-signature petition and local opposition

Developer Wolfbrook wants to fast-track up to 1,000 homes on Pegasus Golf Course in Canterbury, bought at a mortgagee sale in May. Over 16,000 people have signed a petition against it. National MP Matt Doocey and Waimakariri Mayor Dan Gordon oppose the project; Gordon has written to Infrastructure Minister Chris Bishop urging it be declined. Officials are checking the application is complete.
