National MP and mayor oppose Pegasus fast-track housing bid as 16,000 sign petition
Developer Wolfbrook has applied to fast-track up to 1,000 homes on Canterbury's Pegasus Golf Course, bought at a mortgagee sale in May. Over 16,000 people have signed a petition against it. National MP Matt Doocey and Waimakariri Mayor Dan Gordon both oppose the project, with Gordon writing to Infrastructure Minister Chris Bishop urging it be declined. Officials are assessing the application for completeness.
