Luxon won't sack Peters over racist comments, points voters to election

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has ruled out dismissing Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters over comments widely condemned as racist. He told offended voters to back National at the election. MPs Vanessa Weenink, Nancy Lu and Maureen Pugh each labelled Peters' comments racist or ill-conceived. None would say whether he should lose his ministerial role.
