Welsh man jailed for hiding mother's death and claiming her benefits

Christopher Phillips, 60, of Porthcawl, south Wales, was sentenced to two years and four months in prison after pleading guilty to preventing his mother Sylvia's lawful burial and to fraud. He concealed her death for nearly three years, keeping her body in a domestic freezer while continuing to collect her benefits, according to South Wales Police.
