
Welsh man jailed for keeping mother's body in freezer nearly three years while claiming her benefits
Christopher Phillips, 60, of Porthcawl, south Wales, was sentenced to two years and four months in prison after pleading guilty to preventing the lawful burial of his mother Sylvia and to fraud. He concealed her death and kept her body in a domestic freezer for nearly three years while continuing to collect her benefits, according to South Wales Police.
