Two GOP Senators Back Blanche for AG After He Drops $1.8B Fund

Sens. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas) said they will support Todd Blanche for attorney general after he pledged in writing to abandon President Trump's nearly $1.8 billion "anti-weaponization fund." Blanche formally rescinded the fund Sunday, ending a Republican standoff that had delayed his Senate confirmation vote, NPR and CBS News reported Aug. 3.
