Indian Court Clears Wrestling Federation Ex-Chief of Sexual Harassment Charges

A New Delhi court acquitted former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on 3 August 2026 of sexual harassment charges brought by five women wrestlers, citing inconsistent witness statements. Singh, a former BJP parliamentarian, denied all allegations. His aide Vinod Tomar was also acquitted. Acquittal means found not guilty. The wrestlers plan to appeal.
