
Indian Court Acquits Former Wrestling Federation Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in Sexual Harassment Case
A New Delhi court acquitted former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on 3 August 2026 of sexual harassment charges brought by five women wrestlers. The court cited inconsistencies in witness statements and contradictions on major issues. Singh, a former BJP parliamentarian, denied all allegations. His aide Vinod Tomar was also acquitted. The wrestlers plan to appeal.
