Samsung Bans Proxy SDK Apps From TV Store, but Installed Devices Stay Exposed

Samsung will ban and remove smart TV apps using residential proxy SDKs, following LG's July 2026 action. Samsung has not said whether it can purge proxy code from apps already installed on millions of TVs. Spur found 26.5% of Tizen apps contained the SDKs. Installed devices may keep relaying third-party traffic.
