Samsung will block smart TV apps that quietly route other people's internet traffic through household devices, matching LG's July 2026 ban. Samsung hasn't said it can remove that code from apps already on millions of TVs. Researcher Spur found it in 26.5% of Samsung apps. Affected TVs may keep relaying traffic.
