NZ trains five neurologists yearly but funds only three public roles

New Zealand trains five neurologists a year but funds just three public hospital positions, leaving two to go private or overseas, Neurological Alliance chair Rich Easton said. The Alliance, spanning 20 groups, wants two extra funded roles and a national workforce strategy. Aotearoa has 68 neurologists against 100 needed, its #Train5Keep5 campaign notes.
