Burnham Demands Exemption for Child Rapists From UK Early Prison Release

Andy Burnham wants child rapists and serious sexual abusers excluded from a UK early release scheme. Ministers have 24 hours to set exempted categories before roughly 700 releases this autumn. Without the scheme, jails in England and Wales could hit full capacity by November, per Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
