National Gallery Faces Discrimination Claim Over Segregated Break Rooms

The PCS union alleges the National Gallery breached the Equality Act 2010 by relegating mostly Black and Asian outsourced security staff to a windowless basement, while predominantly white in-house employees use a subsidised canteen. The union wrote to the gallery's director on 1 July 2026; no reply had come by 2 August.
