Autonomous Ships $9 NFC Key That Locks Distracting Apps

Autonomous's $9 NFC key, launched July 2026 after a Kickstarter campaign, pairs with a companion app to lock chosen apps on Android 8.0+ and iOS 15+. Tapping the key unlocks them for up to 60 minutes. No subscription is required. Rivals Blok ($29), Unpluq ($26.50), and Brick ($59) cost substantially more. The product is currently in beta.
