Autonomous's $9 Gadget Locks Distracting Apps on Your Phone

Autonomous's $9 key, launched July 2026 after a Kickstarter campaign, works with a companion app to lock apps you pick on Android 8.0+ and iOS 15+ phones. Tap the key to unlock them for up to 60 minutes. No subscription is needed. Rivals Blok ($29), Unpluq ($26.50), and Brick ($59) cost substantially more. The product is currently in beta.
