Jenrick presses Burnham to rule out social care 'death tax'
Reform UK's Robert Jenrick urged Prime Minister Andy Burnham to rule out a "death tax" to fund adult social care in England, suggesting cuts to foreign aid and migrant benefits instead. The label was previously used against Burnham as health secretary under Gordon Brown. Burnham has not proposed such a levy and said he wants to use existing budgets "before we talk about tax rises."
