YC-Backed Atomarine Wants to Put AI Data Centers on Barges
YC S26 startup Atomarine proposes shipyard-built floating platforms carrying 75–100 MW of AI compute each, powered by onboard natural-gas turbines and cooled by seawater. The company claims 1.5 GW of annual deployment capacity — four to five times faster than land-based builds. Barges are towed to site and moored together to scale. All claims remain modeled, not yet demonstrated.
