Ministry for Regulation urges legalising plug-in solar

The Ministry for Regulation has recommended legalising plug-in solar in Aotearoa, 14 years after inverters were banned over electricity and fire safety concerns. Energy Minister Simeon Brown is developing safety standards the ministry says must be in place before the ban lifts. Minister for Regulation David Seymour said renters and apartment dwellers would benefit.
