Supreme Court Lets Trump End TPS for 300,000 Haitians

Roughly 300,000 Haitians lost Temporary Protected Status, a program shielding foreign nationals from deportation during crisis, after the Supreme Court let the Trump administration end the designation. It took effect July 27, 2026, per USCIS. DHS said conditions in Haiti have improved enough for return. TPS was first granted after Haiti's 2010 earthquake.
