Every government agency chief executive approached by Vulnerable Adults New Zealand supports legislation to protect at-risk adults from abuse and neglect, board member Ailsa Claire says. No agency or politician has opposed the proposed Adult Safeguarding Bill. But no MP has publicly sponsored it, RNZ reports.
