Agency heads unanimously back proposed Adult Safeguarding Bill, but no MP has sponsored it

Every relevant government agency chief executive approached by Vulnerable Adults New Zealand has agreed legislation to protect at-risk adults from abuse and neglect is needed, according to board member Ailsa Claire. No agency or politician has opposed the proposed Adult Safeguarding Bill. But no MP has publicly sponsored it, RNZ reports.
