FCC Covered List Now Covers Robots and Power Inverters

On July 28, 2026, the FCC added foreign-produced humanoid robots, quadruped robots, and power inverters to its Covered List, a security restriction previously limited to telecommunications equipment. The expansion now reaches physical infrastructure and autonomous machines. A case-by-case exemption pathway through DHS and DoD remains available.
