FCC Covered List Extends Beyond Telecom to Robots and Power Inverters

On July 28, 2026, the FCC added foreign-produced humanoid robots, quadruped robots, and power inverters to its Covered List. The mechanism, previously limited to telecommunications equipment, now reaches physical infrastructure and autonomous machines. An exemption pathway through DHS and DoD remains available for case-by-case review.
